I received an email that my scores have been sent for reassessment, what does this mean.
This means that a quality assurance check is being carried out. The Quality Assurance check is put in place to guard against improper scoring by examiners as well as to investigate any incident of malpractice. It is basically designed to guarantee a fair assessment for the candidate. If for instance, you score an average of 8 in your listening, reading and writing but you score 5 in your speaking, the system will automatically reject the scores as inconsistent and must be sent for reassessment by another examiner to ensure you are getting the most accurate score based on your abilities.
