Our vision - a more capable, accountable, responsive and integrated justice sector that is fair, equitable and accessible, creating confidence and respect amongst Nigerians

The programme aims to improve the capability, accountability and responsiveness of the key organisations in the safety, security and justice sector, and supporting them to work together, alongside civil society and oversight institutions, as part of a coherent, coordinated sector.

We aim to support better service delivery at the federal, state and local levels. Our activities focus particular attention on improving human rights and access to justice for poor and disadvantaged members of society, including woman and children.

The programme is funded by the United Kingdom's Department for International Development and is managed by the British Council.

It is implemented by a consortium of partners who have extensive experience in Nigeria and a strong track record in the justice and policing sectors, as well as experience of working with Nigerian civil society. The consortium consists of the British Council, our principle contracting partner ATOS Consulting, our Nigerian partners (CLEEN, PRAWA, JRI and NCMG) and our other international partners (Oxford Policy Management and the IDL Group).
