What to expect from IELTS with the British Council
- Your IELTS test will take place at an official British Council IELTS test centre, equipped with everything you need to complete the test.
- You will be provided with a computer and headphones so you can complete the Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking Sections of IELTS.
- The Listening, Reading and Writing Sections will take 2 hours and 45 minutes with no breaks in between.
- IELTS invigilators will answer any questions you may have or help you ensure the headphones are working correctly.
- The Speaking Section might take place on the same day as the other sections, or one week before or after. You will receive communication confirming the date of the Speaking Section.
- Your ID will be checked and your photograph will be taken for security purposes.
- When you take IELTS on Computer, your results will be ready 1 – 2 calendar days after you have taken the test.

Who is eligible to qualify?
This promotion is only open to individuals who are Nigerian residents aged 18 years and over.
How to qualify?
To enter the promotion and be eligible for the offer, you must, during the Promotional Period, sign up for the British Council IELTS on Computer test and opt-in to receive marketing communications with a valid email address.

The promotion commences 12.01am WAT 7 July 2025 and closes 11.59pm WAT 30 September 2025.
Promotional vouchers
Limited to the first 50 British Council IELTS test takers to register each week. Each eligible registered IELTS on Computer test taker will get a ₦15,000 Uber promotional voucher code.
Candidates will be contacted by the email address they provided in their registration form and will be asked to supply contact details, including full name and phone number. This will enable the British Council to supply their voucher code and will be deemed to be acceptance of the promotional code.
