Architect: MOE+

The ‘unmarked’ building for GTBANK private banking, simply named, ‘19 Bayo Kuku’ was an extensive labour of love for both the bank and the architects MOE+ Art Architecture. What started out as a renovation project for an isolated commercial building within the residential enclaves of old Ikoyi, became an exploration of the notion of private and public space. The building shows the layers of history, architectural typology and landscaping; beautifully illustrated in the now iconic facade of flower pots and flowing waterfall.
