British Council in partnership with Starta brings you this episode of ‘Building the Future’ live podcast with Seun Onigbinde, Co-Founder BudgIT.

In 2011, Oluseun Onigbinde co-founded BudgIT, a civic organization that applies technology to intersect citizen engagement with institutional improvement, to facilitate societal change. Using an array of tech tools, BugdIT aims to simplify the budget and matters of public spending for citizens thereby raising the standard of transparency and accountability in government.

‘Building the Future’ podcasts are a collection of one-on-one interviews by Dotun Olowoporoku, Partner at Starta, through which he takes us on a journey into the lives of African pace setters, who are using technology and entrepreneurship to shape the African future.

This episode of the live podcast will hold as a face-to-face session and will also be livestreamed online. Afterwards the podcasts will be available for downloads.

Oluseun Onigbinde, a graduate of Engineering from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, co-founded Nigeria’s civic tech organization, BudgIT in 2011. After his graduation, he worked in Nigeria’s financial sector. Oluseun has worked on several projects funded by MacArthur Foundation, DFID amongst others. He is a recipient of the Ashoka Fellowship, Future Africa Awards, Quartz Africa 30 Innovators Award, Aspen New Voices Fellowship and also sits on the ONE Africa Policy Advisory Board.
