Cassandra Akinde (Social Action Award Winner)
Dr Cassandra Akinde is a public health physician working in the nexus of preventive medicine and epidemiology. In 2020, she obtained a master's in Tropical Medicine and International Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, UK. She observes that studying at LSHTM has accelerated her professional and organisational growth through upskilling her epidemiology and research skills, expanding her network globally and teaching her how to influence policy.
Chiagozie Nwonwu
Senior Broadcast Journalist, BBC Nigeria
Chiagozie Nwonwu is a Lagos-based journalist and creative writer. He was the co-founder and managing editor of the quarterly fiction magazine Omenana, which is the foremost speculative fiction magazine in Africa. His interest in journalism has seen him work in various capacities for some of Nigeria's leading online platforms, an experience he took to his current role as a Senior Broadcast Journalist with the BBC's new Igbo Language service.

Chinasa is a beneficiary of the Premier Skills Project. Premier Skills uses football to develop a brighter future for young people around the world, drawing upon the global appeal of the Premier League and its expertise in delivering community programmes in the UK, alongside the British Council’s global network and track record of delivery.
Coach Sesi Oluwatoyin Orere
She is a UK-educated business strategist and executive emotional wellness expert. She helps leaders build thriving organizations through strategy, systems thinking, and neuroscience-based frameworks. Founder of The Mind, Business Leadership Academy and Executive Director of The Wellness Hub Africa, she studied at the University of Wolverhampton.

Deborah Fadeyi
Deborah (Yetunde) Fadeyi is an energy and sustainability specialist with a decade of experience across Africa, the UAE, the USA, and the UK. As Sustainability Manager at the Aerospace Technology Institute, she drives aviation decarbonisation. Founder of REES Africa and CEO of Vectar Energy, her innovations tackle energy poverty, including the EarthShot-nominated ecoWise device. A Chevening Scholar and UK Top 50 Women in Engineering finalist, she champions equitable energy transitions.
Dimeji Sofowora
He is co-founder of Helium Health, a leading African healthtech company digitizing hospitals and expanding access to healthcare financing. He previously worked in capital markets and M&A at Goldman Sachs and Aluko & Oyebode. A law graduate of the University of Leeds, he also holds a Master’s in Banking and Finance Law from Queen Mary University of London.
