In 2012,Gbenga started an MSc in Supply Chain and Logistics Management at the University of Warwick in the UK.It equipped him with insights into global supply chain and fostered an understanding of logistical intricacies.Warwick laid the foundation for a successful career, instilling a strategic and analytical mindset that continues to shape his professional life in supply chain management.He cofounded Warehöuzit, a digital ecosystem connecting SMEs and MSMEs with affordable commercial storage.

 

Dr Ugonna Nwakanma

Dr. Ugonna serves as the Manager of the Medical Insurance Scheme at TotalEnergies. Her pursuit of an MBA in International Management at The University of London expanded her capacity for strategic creativity and innovation, laying the foundation for global business engagement. Passionate about Eyewear Styling and a staunch advocate for Health Insurance, she established EYEWISE Limited and is committed to societal betterment.  

 

Chidumaga Unachukwu ( Business and Innovation Award Winner)

Chidumaga, CEO of EXERGIE, Africa's leading clean energy company, ensures uninterrupted clean electricity for homes, businesses, communities and government facilities in Nigeria and Sierra Leone. He has a master's in Renewable Energy Engineering from Brunel University London. At the university, he enjoyed the 24-hour library access, especially while working on his project, which provided an excellent ambiance for efficient research and analysis.

Chioma Momah

Chioma Momah is a Public Policy Lawyer, Author, Parenting Educator and Coach. She earned a master's in business administration and public administration at the Anglia Ruskin University, UK and the University of Exeter, UK respectively. She received top-notch degrees and also returned with confidence, knowledge, and abilities. The course content and structure at Exeter were perfect and were laden with modules for a citizen of a developing nation.

Gbenga is a multifaceted professional, blending roles as a social science educator, criminologist, and artist. He observes that his study at the University of York was marked by academic rigour, cultural diversity and innovative teaching methods. As a result, his academic journey at the University of York has shaped him into a well-rounded and globally-minded scholar, poised to confront and contribute solutions to future challenges.

Faith Agboola (Culture and Creativity Award Winner)

Faith Agboola is a performance poet, content creator and cultural producer. She is the founder of The African Writers and the convener of African Writers Meet. In recognition of her work in literature, she was awarded the Chevening Scholarship in 2020. She credits De Montfort University as the catalyst for developing her multiple creative interests. It provided her with the theoretical and practical experiences needed to build a strong brand as an innovative and creative entrepreneur.

 

 

Dr Ikpaya Ikpaya

Dr Ikpaya David Ikpaya is a 2017 Rutherford Fellow who won the 2022 Research Impact Awards Topical Prize for his clean energy-related research. He received his M.Sc. degree in Satellite Engineering and a PhD degree in Engineering and Physical Sciences (Spacecraft Engineering) from the University of Surrey, Guildford, U.K., in 2008 and 2014, respectively. Ikpaya observes that working at Surrey Satellite Technology Limited while studying at the University, enhanced his professional development.

Jennifer Uchendu (Science and Sustainability Award Winner)

Jennifer Uchendu is a sustainability analyst and founder of SustyVibes, a youth-led organisation that makes sustainability actionable, relatable, and cool for young people. She has a master's degree in development studies from the Institute of Development Studies, at the University of Sussex UK, under the Chevening Scholarship. She recalls the quality of research, network and access she has gained since graduation and how this has easily been one of the best things to happen to her.

Dr Mininim Oseji

Dr Mininim Oseji, M.B., B.S.; FMCPH; FWACP; DTMH; DHSM; MPH (HSR); is a Consultant Public Health and Community Physician. Her yearning for more training in research was fulfilled when she undertook the Master of Public Health (Health Service Research) at the University of Sheffield, UK. Mininim would like to research effective interventions in mitigating the impact of air pollution from oil exploration.

Adekemi Adeniyan

As the founder and executive director of the Dentalcare Foundation, Adekemi Adeniyan is at the forefront of promoting oral health equity by providing free dental education and services in underpriviledged communities. Her dedication to global change earned her the title of Associate Fellow of the esteemed Royal Commonwealth Society, United Kingdom. Her study at Lancaster University provided her with global insights into healthcare systems and exposed her to diverse perspectives.
