Building futures through creativity
Creative Economy Week Nigeria 2025, presented by the British Council in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy (FMACTCE), is a dynamic six-city series showcasing innovation, skills, and collaboration. Spanning Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kano, Enugu, and London, the programme brings together diverse voices and creative talent to highlight the power of culture as a driver of connection and economic growth.
Guided by the theme ‘Building Futures through Creativity’, the event reflects the role of the creative economy in shaping inclusive societies, empowering young people, and creating opportunities for sustainable growth.
Launching officially on 11 September in Abuja, the programme convenes creative practitioners, cultural hubs, policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and UK partners to explore how Nigeria’s creative economy can expand access to jobs, strengthen international collaboration, and position Nigeria as a global creative hub.
From high-level policy dialogues and networking with industry leaders, to hands-on masterclasses, creative showcases, and major conferences, the event is designed to inspire collaboration, strengthen skills, and spotlight Nigeria’s global creative potential.
